We have two primary cooperate sites that function as a sort of internal e-commerce and asset tracking systems. They are the core products that we use to run A+E International's global content business. Below is the entire design and product evolution of these system:

Don't be fooled by all this graphic work.

These sites are very robust, and most of our work has been infrastructure and development based, versus just new colors schemes.

We created a new improved search engine with Solr (java based), new Ajax protocols, used akamai edgesuite for cache as well as some other nifty server-side caching tricks. And of course refined and expanded entirely new MS SQL database to support the 10k plus show records with all there related parameters  (video, images, content, asset tracking) -  this result in hundreds of tables, with multiple users working and adding data to the system at different points concurrently.

Most importantly the new platform and code everything is developed on is so much easier to work with: the java is on a STRUTS frameworks and the RDB Table's relationship taxonomy is clearly defined and annotated.
